Family…It's what's for life!

This week is a very exciting one for our family.  Two more little guys will enter this world and join the Woodfin/Cowart families.  Twins run on both sides of the family, however that was a few generations ago.  We are all so excited about this new adventure that Jamison and Mallory will be embarking on.

Selah and Landon will gain two new best friends, buddies, team members, and playmates.  These boys have no idea the amount of fun they will have with their sister and cousin.  Life will surely be better with these boys in our world and I cannot wait to begin adding them to my endless Niece/Nephew photo albums.  

Last week I went to my moms house to spend time with her, Mallory, and Selah.  It was a beautiful day and Selah was full of character, as usual.  I don't know life around her without my camera.  There are so many faces that she makes that I cannot help but capture.  I know her parents and all her grandparents do not mind at all either. LoL.  She knows how to work the camera and allows me to have fun and pose her sometimes.  Can you imagine how fun it is going to be to photograph the twins over the years?  (Ok, challenging too. ha!)

Here are some of the moments I was able to capture last week of Selah.  I love the last image of her and Mallory as well. Doesn't she look amazing and so happy?  

Before you view the images, let me share one of my favorite quotes.  It is from a song that the Avett Brothers sing called 'Murder in the City'.  It's a quote that stuck with me for years.

A Walkabout of Perspective

This evening TJ and I took a walk in our neighborhood, cameras in hand.  He is working on a project that requires certain images, and I needed my photo of the day.  

As I was deciding on what would be my inspiration,  I began to enter into a zone.  This is something that I have always been able to enter when I take time with just me and my camera.  It is a zone where I am able to look past what is around me and find beauty.  I kept hearing the word perspective over and over in my mind.  I prayed that the Lord that I would continually be able to see things with a different perspective and always be able to find the good, beauty, and joy in any situation.  

It was only a 20 or 30 minute walk, but I felt like it was a photo walkabout.  A walkabout to help strengthen my perspective.  These are areas right around my house, yet I feel as if I captured images that were from other places.  It was a beautiful way to end my day, and my weekend.
